2007 INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No, It's a Cubed Car! Guess Right and Win $1000 SACRAMENTO- This November 9-12 at the Sacramento International Auto Show at Cal Expo, patrons will get a chance to not only view a mysterious-looking chunk of steel but also win $1000 by guessing the “Cubed Car”. Measuring approximately four feet in height and six feet in length, it is hard to believe by looking at this rectangular hunk of metal that it was once an automobile running smoothly down the freeway. For the first time last year at the Sacramento International Auto Show, patrons got a chance to see a burgundy-colored, smashed car and guess not only the make, model and year, but also how many miles to win $1000. "Four people guessed correctly that it was a Peugeot and the right year, so the tie-breaker was the mileage," said Auto Show producer Stacey Castle of Castle Communications, Inc. "Amazingly enough, one did get the miles within 5,000 of the actual, and of course, that put $1000 in the winner's pocket," she continued. A different Cubed Car will be on display at the 2007 Sacramento International Auto Show in the Kid Zone at Expo Center, and again, guess correctly and you win $1000. "It's incredible the amount of interest this display generates," stated Castle. "But then again it's been smashed so small, it's almost hard to tell it was a car." The 2007 Sacramento International Auto Show is presented by the Central Valley New Car Dealers Association. Auto Show tickets will be on sale at the door only. Admission is $9 for adults, with children under 12 free. Two-dollar off discount coupons are available at participating Central Valley New Car Dealer Association members, and area 76 Gas Stations. Auto Show hours are: Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10, 11:00am-9:00pm; Saturday, November 11, 10:00am – 8:00pm; and Sunday, November 12, 11:00am – 6:00pm. Auto Show proceeds benefit the Professional Automotive Training Center Foundation -- a joint project of the Central Valley New Car Dealers Association, American River College, Cosumnes River College and Sierra College -- as well as other local causes.
